Personal Letters
- Purpose: A personal letter is an informal correspondence generally written to inquire after a friend's health or situation, to express the writer's well-being, to communicate information such as holiday details or to generally develop communion between two parties, such as friends or relatives, who know each other well. A letter of sympathy may also be regarded as personal correspondence, written to reassure or express condolences.
